The Trust was set up in memory of Professor Marijan Hanžeković, Ph.D. The founders of the Trust were the Institute of Public Finance, the late Marijan Hanžeković, Jr., the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian National Bank, Privredna banka, Zagrebačka banka and Hrvatska poštanska banka. Apart from paying tribute to the memory of Professor Marijan Hanžeković, the objective of the Trust is to promote financial sciences and to encourage scholars and experts, especially younger generations, to be engaged in this discipline.
